Dreams Really Do Come True….

Bear with me. This is not my usual inspirational post. I felt the need to share a bit of good news…

I am still spinning from last week’s Blast Off book launch and touched so deeply by your incredible outpouring of support. As we watched the stats climb on January 19th to #1 on the best seller list in several categories on Amazon US and Canada (including entrepreneurial and hot new releases- entrepreneurial), and hit the best seller list in Motivational and Success books on Amazon US, Canada and UK. I was jumping up and down and screaming like a kid on her 5th birthday!  The experience has been completely surreal. Literally, a dream come true.

I assure you that this would not have happened without you. I can write all day long, but if no one buys my book and reads it, my words will just sit on the page and not impact anyone.

Blast Off To A Brand New Life!

Are there any areas in your life that you are limiting yourself? Be totally honest.  In your career, is there something you would just LOVE to be doing, but have no idea how to make it happen? This has been a long journey, and I have learned so much. People ask me if I am excited and I say, “Yes, I cannot wait.” They don’t really know the depth of that “yes”. 66 days and counting…You Can Live The Dream

For the past 15 years I have been in the field of helping people progress to a better life. As a homeopathic physician,  I have seen clients move from despair to embracing life, from pain to living with peace and ease. I have been blessed to be a healing force for many families and have delighted in watching their children grow into amazing young men and women. As an entrepreneur of 9 businesses, I would say that I have a knack for business. I love the challenge and creativity that business yields. Coaching was the perfect  evolvement for me to offer my healing and business capabilities to others to find their path to success and fulfillment.

I am driven to help people find their potential within themselves and the world around them.   It is truly is a source of frustration when I see that they are holding themselves back from living a much more joyous life full of love and opportunity.

80 days and counting until my Blast Off Book Launch..In The Creative Zone

So many people have asked me, ” Where did you find the time to write a book with your busy life?” I had always envisioned myself taking two months off and hiding away in some rustic cabin with no interference from the outside world. I would just disconnect from everyone and everything and get into a writing frenzy until the book was done. Well, that was never going to happen, nor did I really want to do that. I have a family that I enjoy spending time with and many homeopathy and coaching clients that I enjoy working with. And disappearing for two months is not my reality anyway. In my book, Blast Off, I teach the reader how to create their deepest dreams while living in the real world. So disconnecting from society while creating my own dream did not seem like a good fit.

Anticipation: Day 108 of Countdown to Blast Off Launch

Remember those times as a child when you were anticipating an event that was so unbelievably exciting, you could hardly stand it, such as your birthday party or going to Disneyland? Your enthusiasm would bubble up inside. Meanwhile, the days went by so slowly. I remember being ten years old and anxiously awaiting going to summer camp. It was only three days away and I was so excited. I was also perplexed at the sense that as the time grew nearer, the days seemed to be getting longer and longer. I told my mom, “I’m counting the minutes until Saturday and why is it taking forever to arrive?” I had figured out that once I went to sleep that night, I’d only have two more days and one more night left until I would be at camp. “What if I just stay in bed ’til Saturday,” I said. “Then it would only seem like one more day until camp, instead of two.” My mom responded with some advice that has stayed with me to this day: “Allie, never wish your days away. Cherish every single one… because if you wish the away, you may miss out on something wonderful.”As we age, time starts speeding up and those long anticipatory days happen less and less often. Instead of having time to wander in your backyard and dream of being an astronaut or a veterinarian, you barelyhave time to figure out what to cook for dinner.

As I am counting down the days until my Blast Off book release on January 19, 2010, I am consciously savoring every moment of every day. I am also setting a very clear vision of Blast Off as a best selling book and a very direct pathway for all you dreamers out there to turn your hopes and longings into a concrete, tangible abundant reality.

120 Days Until Launch Time!

Thanks for joining me for my countdown. Only 120 days left as I share my personal journey to making my biggest dream come true. Somehow when I was younger, 120 days would seem like an eternity. Now it seems like just a few blinks and January 19th will be here.

The whole concept of time boggles my mind. There never seems to be enough of it and yet, when I am working out with my trainer, Marcus, every seconds feels like a decade! (He was extra brutal today.)

How I came to writing my book had many twists and turns. All roads have led to a wonderful place, but in a few of instances, the path was windier and bumpier than I had anticipated. I am sure you have had that experience. You are gritting your teeth with disappointment one moment and then months later you look back and think, “Oh, yeah. Now I get it. Thank God that didn’t work out. This is so much better!” This is the life stuff you just can’t make up and you cannot plan. And if you have no desire to write a book, but you have a dream (or would like to figure out what that dream is) then follow me for the next 121 days as I count down toward the day of my book launch of Blast Off! You see… this is not just about a book launch. Seeing my book in print, inspiring others with my words, stories and strategies, and picking up my very own book off of a book store shelf is literally a dream come true for me. I am so excited to share my process, thoughts, frustrations and elations with you in my Blast Off Countdown Blog. This is the what, when, how I did and do it, how I fit it into the rest of my life as a mom, a wife, and a business woman and still manage to have lots of fun.

So it started something like this….

I have had a passion for writing since I was in the 4th grade when I wrote my first poem in Ms. Grant’s class at Grissom Elementary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

There once was an alligator named Sam.

He lived in a clogged up damn.

He ate peoples noses, and bit off their toses.

And that was my alligator Sam.

Brilliant, I know. I was quite proud of this poem and thought, “there is something to this writing thing.” Words became a playground of expression for me. I discovered that I possessed a rather deep soul (Deeper than I could deal with at age 9, or anyone around me for that matter)  and  I needed an outlet to release and sort out all this romanticism and intensity. Writing was a way for me to configure my deepest thoughts, spout about my observations, experiences, solutions,  then tie them all together with a poetic and rythmic bow. It has been a special relationship… me and my pen. (and eventually my Mac)  I always found it easier to say what I really wanted to say… in writing.

Writing Blast Off has been a culmination of years writing, working with thousands of clients to move them to a better chapter in their lives, and a strong desire to help others reach their potential. In fact, it became a real pet peeve of mine when someone would come to see me for coaching or homeopathy and they would proceed to give me every excuse as to why their dreams, or life, for that matter, would never work out the way they wanted. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to shake them and say, “You are amazing. Don’t you see?!”

Over the years, through many trials and tribulations,  I finally learned how to make my dreams come true. (This book is my biggest) And believe me, they were not handed to me. At age 30 I set out on the world as a single mom, no money and no emotional support. However, I did have three things going for me: Determination, stubborness, and hope. Always hope.

So please join me over the next 3 1/2 months as I share the process of making one of my biggest dreams come true as I countdown the release of Blast Off on January 19th. My intention is to make you laugh, cry and get off your butt and make it happen. Lets do it together.
