To become successful in business and increase your revenue to a much higher trajectory,  you have to master the art of ‘getting your stuff done.’  Lets face it….coming up with the business ideas is the easy part, finding the time and sitting yourself down to execute these ideas is no easy feat for most entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are creative spirits, and we can be all over the place chasing one shiny object after the next. I call this EADD, Entrepreneurial ADD. The issue with this is that too many million dollar ideas stay just that, an idea that is never manifested. Yes, I get it. There are only so many hours in the day and you are busy. No excuse! Managing your time and making a commitment to completing your big goals and dreams is key for true success to happen at any level. Lets take that first step together right now.

Repeat after me:
 ”I am committing to take my big dreams and goals off of the back burner and put them into action starting right now. I am also committing to develop, implement and sell my business building  products, services and/or programs every single day.”

Now that we are all on the same page with your commitment, lets focus on completing these goals on a daily basis.

One of the greatest business ‘get things done’ strategies I have practiced over the years is breaking the big, lofty projects down into tiny baby steps, I call them ‘Mini Feats.’ Mini feats are the bite-size steps of accomplishment that lead to your Big Picture Vision in your business. I am not talking about daily tasks such as running errands, organizing your desk or feeding your dog. I am talking about the big life changing goals that will ultimately increase the bottom line of your business, and your overall level of life satisfaction.  By breaking down these big goals into smaller, more manageable action steps, even the impossible will become possible.

How To:

Instead of trying to find several available hours to get your projects done, take only three small steps a day in ten minute increments toward these bigger goals. You can do anything for ten minutes, so there is no excuse! Schedule your Mini Feats in your appointment book or smart phone as an actual appointment so you are more likely to show up and follow through. (If you end up spending more than ten minutes, that is totally fine. But you have to do a minimum of three Mini Feats a day.) At the end of the week, with little or no stress, you will already be twenty-one steps closer to your goal and ultimately creating a higher revenue for your business. This is exactly how I wrote my No. 1 best selling book, Blast Off! while raising a teenage daughter and running 3 other companies. With baby steps you can become a multi-managing master!

Stop waiting for the right time because, frankly, it is not going to arrive. Take your life by the reigns and lead it gracefully to success… one Mini Feat at time.

Just like a child develops into an adult, a business has to go through the natural life phases of growth. Children must go through the challenges of the toddler years before they blossom to the rebellious teenager, then ultimately, the independent adult. (We hope!) In the same vain, a business progresses through three evolving phases.

Phase One is the Start-up Era which is where all ideas are born. This is the phase of creativity and development. In this stage,  your ideas come into tangible form and you begin to get clarity on your ideal market and customer. Then the relationship between your product or service and your ‘right fit’ customer begin to develop. There are many decisions to be made in this phase as the look and feel of your business starts to come into being.

Phase Two is the Growth Era. At this point, you really know your ideal client, you have created a solid customer experience, your branding is established and you are working on becoming a super-hero in your industry. Growth means expansion and in Phase Two you are all about expanding your reach within your own niche’ market. The million dollar word in this era of your business is ‘delegate, delegate, delegate!’

Phase Three is the Expansion Era. At this point, you’re business has a healthy rhythm and strong foundation. Your house is in order and you are receiving the pay off of all your hard work. You know you are in this phase when other organizations want to strategically align with you. Maintaining growth and momentum of your business will come from continuously monitoring, measuring, and adapting to the wants and needs of your ‘right fit’ customer. And over the years you will continue to course correct due to your evolving business vision, the economy, demand for your product or service, industry changes, technology and more to stay on track and yield the growth you desire.

This is not a linear process as you may shift back and forth throughout each phase with the development of new products or changing models of your business. And just as children and adults mature at different levels, every business has a personality and timetable of its own. In growing your business, there are many hills and valleys along the way, however, when you are aware of the road ahead, it makes the journey so much more enjoyable and you are able to allow the process to unfold in the most divine way possible.

I have found  in mentoring entrepreneurs over the years, that many are suffering from a common syndrome, called “The Perfectionist Syndrome”.  If you are unsure if you fit the profile, here are the common symptoms:

* A feeling that all your projects need to be done perfectly before you put them out into  the world.

* You over think everything and get into analysis paralysis. (Meaning your big goals and dreams get stuck in limbo.)

* You are waiting for the perfect time to launch yourself, your dreams, your project or product.

* You worry what others will think of your results, therefore, you don’t ever put yourself out there in case someone might disapprove.

Guess what? All your dreams and goals are mere fantasy until you take them out of your head and put them into action. The good newsis that your best work comes through trial and error. It evolves as you work through your process in real-time, as you polish and tweak along the way. For instance, the way I mentor business owners now is not necessarily how I did it years back. Through practice, I found what worked and what did not. And put more energy into what was working, and let go of what was not. Rocket science, I know!

We  all have issues, so there is no judgement here. I just want to see you break through and achieve all that you desire in your business and your life. In building 10 companies over the years, I will tell you that if I allowed perfectionism to get in the way, I would never have been able to achieve all that I have. I have learned that “good enough is good enough” to get you started, then improve and elevate your work along the way.

Have I made mistakes? You bet! And they have all been gifts because I learn what I need to do differently next time. The key is to keep moving forward and don’t allow the Perfectionist Syndrome to hold you back any longer.

Get it done. Get it out there. Then move on!

It is important that you charge based on the transformation you
are offering, rather than only charging for your time. You are sharing
your expertise, and that expertise is creating a powerful result in
your customer or client’s life. Money, which is currency, is like an
electric current. Like an exchange of energy, this current is meant
to flow back and forth. When you are giving and giving and not
receiving a reciprocal energy, over time you will not be able to sustain
your business because of lack of finances, or you will simply burn out.
And then everyone loses.

So many business owners get caught in a price war which sets
you into the category of a commodity. A bag of rice is a commodity
and that is not you! You want people to come to you because of the
valuable service or product that you offer and the great and result
they receive from their experience. When you raise your standards,
expectations and fee, you will start attracting the
clients that truly value your work and appreciate your offering.
Rather than price slashing, give more value than your customer
expects to receive. They will love you for it!

How many times have you tried to save money and ended up paying
more later because you did not get the result you desired, or the
product broke down and you had to replace it soon after your
purchase? I will gladly pay more when I know that I am getting the
result I desire. Peace of mind is worth a great deal in my book!

Elevate yourself and ask for what you are worth. It can change
your business’ bottom line over night, and you will be able to

These days, everyone seems to be talking about money. We hear about it on the nightly news. We read about it in the newspapers. We see people sharing their thoughts about money on Facebook, and it’s a frequent topic of conversation when people get together.

But the common thread in many (if not most) of our money discussions is that they all tend to be NEGATIVE! It seems these days we’re not just talking about money—we’re complaining about it. We’re worrying about it. We’re afraid of it. But worst of all, many of us use money as an excuse for delaying our happiness and personal fulfillment.

But not everyone sees money through the eyes of anxiety and fear. My colleague, Morgana Rae, is the author of a new book called Financial Alchemy: Twelve Months of Magic and Manifestation. Morgana believes money is the number one excuse for people not living their dreams. She believes we turn money into “the” big obstacle in our lives.
